JulieAnn Calareso and James Barnes guest speakers at the Schenectady County Bar Association, Trusts and Estates/Elder Law Practice CLE (Continuing Legal Education) program held on March 10, 2016 at the Glen Sanders Mansion.
JulieAnn is providing an Elder Law Update which covers updating Medicaid asset and eligibility rules. She will provide a review of Medicaid planning tools including Irrevocable Medicaid Trusts, use of life estates, spousal budgeting, caretaker child exemption, gift and loans, etc. JulieAnn will also update on new and proposed state and federal legislation as well as updates on issues important to elder law practitioners.
JulieAnn is also scheduled to serve on a panel discussion relative to applying Medicaid planning tools to several different fact patterns.
James will speak on Powers of Attorney pitfalls and how to prevent them.
