Shelly Casserly, Esq.Attorney at Law
Shelly is a 1984 graduate of Albany Law School of Union University where she earned her Juris Doctorate, cum laude. She is a member of the Justinian Honor Society for excellence in legal scholarship. Shelly was admitted to the Third Department in 1985. From 1985 until 1995 Shelly was an associate in several Albany law firms, most recently Hiscock and Barclay, and Plunkett and Jaffe. She concentrated her practice in the areas of industrial development agency financing, public authority finance, and municipal and school district finance. In 1995, Shelly took time away from the practice of law to raise her three sons. In 2011, Shelly joined Burke & Casserly, which her husband Tim co-founded in 1988. Her areas of practice include Elder Law and Trusts and Estates.
In 2016, Shelly co-authored an article entitled, "Helping Clients Retire Successfully", which was published in the Elder Law and Special Needs Journal published by the Elder Law and Special Needs Section of the New York State Bar Association.
