Summer Associate Intern Opportunity

Burke & Casserly, P.C. is a prestigious Elder Law and Wills, Trusts & Estates law firm in Albany, NY, the Capital District, with a 35-year history. As a summer associate, the candidate will receive an in-depth introduction to the culture of an estate planning and elder law firm performing real, substantive work sharpening your skills alongside the firm’s attorneys. You will gain exposure to communicating with firm clients, attending client conferences, drafting correspondence and documents, e-filing documents with Courts, as well as collaborating with the firm’s attorneys, paralegals, and assistants. Throughout your time with us, we will provide you with ongoing feedback highlighting your strengths and pinpointing areas where additional training would help you deliver on your full potential.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for the estate & business planning and elder law field. Some of the services we deliver include drafting of Wills, Trusts, and advance directives; long-term care and Medicaid planning, applications, and processes; guardianship proceedings; trust and estate administration/ probate processes; as well as business start-ups, planning and succession planning.

In addition to enthusiasm for our areas of practice, the ideal candidate is highly organized, has excellent written and oral communication skills, is dependable, is committed to the development and maintenance of outstanding client relationships, demonstrates compassion among our team as well as with our clients, and conducts oneself utilizing integrity and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Burke & Casserly, P.C. offers a competitive compensation package for candidates. The hourly range is $20 - $24 per hour.
